Dr. Gaines performs at Carnegie Hall, Weill Recital Hall

Dr. Gaines was invited to perform in Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall on March 23, 2007 as part of the MU College of Arts and Science sponsored Hot New Music performance. She performed a piece that she commissioned from Dr. Tom McKenney, Professor of Composition in the School of Music. The piece was titled C:M for marimba and electronic sounds. She also performed a piece written by MU alum David McDonald with a quintet comprised of MU faculty. The piece was titled Emulsion Quintet for soprano saxophone, french horn, cello, clarinet and bass clarinet, and marimba. This was Dr. Gaines Carnegie Hall debut.
