Study Abroad in Trinidad - January 2013

Tentative dates: January 7-19, 2013
Application deadline: September 24, 2012

The MU International Center and School of Music sponsor the inaugural year of their January intersession faculty-led program in Trinidad. MU professor Julia Gaines will lead a two-week, three credit hour program that is open to both MU undergraduate and graduate students, as well as non-MU enthusiasts with an interest in steel pans. The University of Missouri Graduate Ensemble recorded this piece in the Summer of 2011 at the MU Corner Playhouse. This is the second movement from Emmanuel Sejourne's Martians Tribes.

This book breaks down four-mallet marimba technique from the very beginning.
